FIFTY 50 Foods, Company
Seeing a need for better tasting products for people with diabetes, we started a company gives 50% of its profits to diabetes research and offers the best products available. We had lots of experience to draw upon including living with type 1 diabetes for many years and educating people with diabetes. We started with just 3 products and in 1992 we made our first contribution of $15,000. As the company has grown, so has our contribution to diabetes research. To date, our contribution has totaled over $11,000,000.
Over these years we've had many opportunities to hear from our customers. Contributing to research is certainly gratifying - it's why we're here, but it's also wonderful to read the letters we get from our customers. They not only applaud us for donating so much of our profits to research, but they consistently rave about the taste of our products. The greater our sales, the greater the contributions we make each year. And when a cure is finally found, we'll happily go out of business.
